You know "Upper Lusatia"???

No? Then get to know it!Source: http://www.pension-perless-kreischa.de/tl_files/images/ausflug/saechsische_schweiz.jpg

In the eastern part of Germany is the federal state of Saxony situated and in Saxony lies Upper Lusatia. My hometown is situated in the middle of this region with its beautiful landscape and its famous half-timbered houses which only exist in that particular region.

You can find everything in this region. From beautiful calm national parks with mountain ranges, lakes and rivers and old castles. Possibly the most famous is the Saxon Switzerland National Park. It is a beautiful mountain ranges with deep green forests and clear rivers – the ideal place for hiking or maybe joining one of the boat trips where you get to know the oddest rock formations and its names, such as locomotive, oven or champignon. After your boat trip you can climb up the “stairs to heaven” a very narrow ladder built in a large crevice.

If you want to enjoy a calmer day you can also stroll through the little villages, eat in the small restaurants where fresh or smoked trouts are often a specialty, so if you like fish, you really have to try this. If you are walking through such a little village you will surely notice the special architecture of the old houses. Half-timbered houses were only built in the Upper Lusatia and so they are really unique.

Another thing you simply have to visit are castles like “Festung Königstein” with its stories of old. Also the view from the castle is fantastic. You can see the river Elbe and mountains from there.

And if all this is too much culture for you then visit the Dresden, the capital of Saxony where you will surely find something interesting to do. And there are also many sights you shouldn’t miss…

Molly Misery’s photography

Photography has become very popular over the last year. If you’re on sites such as flickr, deviantART, and/or tumblr you’ll notice the verity of photographers that have popped up all over the World Wide Web… I happen to be one of those photographers striving to get my images known to people. My good friend Seraphina has graciously let me use this site to help promote myself, even though how narcissistic that may sound. Basically I photograph places and objects that I find inspiring to the mind (not that my photographs are in anyway, shape, or form political), I’d hope that people would see my photographs and think about life and the beauty behind it. I hope you’d leave your comments and constructive criticisms.

Podcast Episode 2: It’s Only A Movie

This episode of The Officially Whatever Podcast introduces our new co-hosts, Molly Misery and Ziggy Dame. We discuss a great deal of randomly disturbing things, including a man that rips his own face off, a movie that was so terrible the trailer fried our brains, and how a womans assets shocked a man to death.

We talk artsy fartsy, discussing an amazing painter’s incredible talent and review the book, “Go Ask Alice.” We spew random and completely useless bits of information, and gush about our favorite musicians.

The most exciting part of the episode is when we leak some highly entertaining extremely Hollywood lethal information.

The possibilities of this podcast are endless. Hope you enjoy, but please, proceed with caution. This one is a doozy.

Spring Fashion 2010

You don´t know what to wear this spring? I´ll tell you! =)

The main rules for the perfect spring style:

« The drapery should be airy, flittering and colourful.

« Trend colours are lemon – green, yellow, orange, grey, violet, pink and all other bright colours. (for clothes and make-up!)

« Checked pattern, and stripes and floral pattern are totally in!

« Accessoirs with peace signs, rivets and flowers are very cool!

« Combine single – coloured skirts, dresses or shorts with colourful patterned tights.

You can combine many different colours but you have to be a little bit careful. Checked pattern, floral pattern and stripes you should not combine with other pattern! Peep toes with wedge heel and chucks are in style. Accessoirs are very important for your perfect look.

My top 5 Must- Haves for the spring 2010:

« A leather jacket (it´s not important if the leather is real or not)

« Patterned tights

« A accessoir with peace signs

« Chucks ( you can wear them always, they never will look bad! I promise! =D)

« A flittering dress or skirt

I hope my tips help you to find YOUR perfect spring outfit! =) I´m sure you´ll look fantastic!

Maybe the pictures are a insperation for you!
