This Drummer’s Muse: Dominic Howard
Dominic James Howard was born December 7th, 1977 in Stockport, England. He is the drummer of the band Muse, and unlike many musicians, he had no interest in music growing up. Music wasn’t “The Blood flowing through his veins” as many musicians tend to describe their early years. Dominic simply thought of music as “something he heard on TV”. No big deal. That was until his family moved to a small town called Teignmouth, and one day he heard a jazz band playing at school. He was 11, and thus began his ongoing love affair with music, and drumming. Dominic only plays the drums, and happens to be the only member of Muse who plays only one instrument. Dominic looks up to musicians like Buddy Rich, Stewart Copeland, and Dave Grohl, and Jimi Hendrix.
