We are not going to mention any of the rumors that have been going around and getting people worked up because then we’d be justifying them and spreading more. Shannon Leto said it amazingly: “Gossiping and spreading rumours are a cancer amoung our society.” This epidemic has to STOP. Easier said than done, I know. What everyone isn’t realizing, is that talking about it, even if you’re disproving or bashing it, is making it worse. We understand that you feel very passionately about the people who are being “misrepresented”, but the best way to fight these lies and stop this disease is to IGNORE THE IGNORANCE. All attention, especially negative attention, fuels these fires of deceit on. The people that start them crave attention. We can all agree that they have no lives and trash talking is the only way to satisfy their boredom. Even so, don’t hate them; pity them. Be the bigger, better person. We know some of these rumors are insanely hurtful, but there is something you can do. You stop them by NOT mentioning them at all. Once it gets to you, ignore it. Your killing the virus dead in its tracks. Given, this won’t drastically help when their are a million people talking about it, but you are the beginning of a resistance that will fight against these violent lies.
