Playing Around with Photoshop

So this article is probably very useless, but I really felt like writing it, for laughs.

About three years ago I signed up for an Intro to Mackintosh course, just for the credits, I didn’t enjoy it at all, the teaching was poor and the programs were confusing for my very non technological mind, I preferred my PC (even though I am now a huge fan of apple) the only thing I looked forward to learning was Photoshop.

We all know Photoshop to be the program that makes everyone look perfect in posters, so popular that it became a phrase; “she’s beenPhotoshoped”, well it actually is a great program, was very advanced at the time of its release in 1988, and continues to constantly and consistently develop to this day.

It looks confusing at first but once you learn the basics, it’s pretty clear and easy to use. To do it on a professional level would probably take lots of time and experience, but for an amateur like myself I only need the basic stuff and can clumsily try all the other options for the fun of it, and end up making creative photos to be framed or posted up on various profiles on the internet, or simply fixing things like red eyes, or overexposure.

It can also be fun if you like me like creating posters, after just a few classes and some playing around I learnt how to put photos together and play around with effects and sharpness and it’s a whole lot of fun on days when I’m just sitting home with not much to do.

So here are some posters of New Moon that I created all in one night. I downloaded a poster of each character from the original webpage and then played around with them to combine them, hope you like them ; )
