This Valentine’s Day, everyone is all abuzz about the star-studded romantic comedy “Valentine’s Day.” I know, I marvel at the immense amount of creativity put into making the title too. I’ll just get right down too it. The film wasn’t horrendous but it didn’t live up to its hype. The movie follows a group whose love stories all intertwine as they celebrate Valentine’s Day. It wasn’t at all what I expected at first, but as the plot slowly unfolds it becomes completely predictable. Watching Taylor Swift’s train wreck attempt at acting was, well just that….a train wreck. I am horrifyingly embarrassed for her. In her defense, the role did suck, and the film’s portrayal of this generation’s ignorant love struck teenagers was ridiculously….accurate. Sprinkled with a fair amount of clichés, Valentine’s Day is the perfect movie to go see if you happen to have an extra 8 bucks in your pocket that you wouldn’t mind wasting.
