Good morning, it’s 4:23 in the morning and I just felt like ranting about how pissed off I am at 30 Seconds to Mars.

Few of you may know him as an actor and probably most of you may know him has the lead singer of the band “30 Seconds to Mars”.

I became a fan of Jared Leto in 2006/2007, from then on I’ve mostly been dieing to go to one of his concerts or at least meet him. But of course this will probably never take place. As most of you “30 Seconds to Mars” fans know that they have a new album coming out on December 8, 2009 and when I heard this very amazing news, I only thought of one thing and one thing only…..concert dates. I immediately went on the bands Myspace to check for the shows and this is were my tragedy begins…..

You see, I don’t only want to go to a “30 Seconds to Mars” concert just because I love Jared Leto but also because I unconditionally love their music. So when I went to check the upcoming shows, there was only shows for Europe and I took it as a bad sign that they weren’t going to do a world tour just a Europe tour. So I started freaking out and calling Phina and telling her what’s going on. But then a slight little miracle happen. Because I am huge fan of 30 seconds to mars(if u haven’t noticed until now) I signed up for their newsletter/e-mail,so I get random e-mails for them. I believe it was on the same day I got that very first and random e-mail from them. The e-mail made my heart jump out. It described a bunch of things of the album and their new song “kings and queens” and they do this thing called the “weekly picked from the band” were they pick there favorite movie, music, book, etc. which is great but this isn’t what made my day. In the beginning of the e-mail it simply said “While the European shows have sold out, the US dates still have tickets available. Make sure you check the tour dates below to catch any of the performances near you.”

Now I’m on their Myspace once again looking for their US dates, and I’m looking and looking ( this goes on for about 5 minutes) and then I see all their shows listed but they still haven’t posted the US dates. So now I start getting a little upset but I’m more nervous and scared because I live in Chicago and if they came here they would most likely go to the house of blues. I know your thinking to yourself “what’s wrong with the house of blues” well let’s see, if your 16 and younger YOU ARE NOT ALOUD TO GO IN THERE!!! I’m not only panicking if there going to come to Chicago but I also have to be more worried that they possibly are going to go to the House of Blues.

A couple of days later,I again check their Myspace and this is the point where I die. So I’m checking their dates again and I start seeing US dates. California, Utah, Florida, Texas, etc… and then my hearts stops because I just saw Chicago, Illinois. I start smiling and I get all excited but of course that is all taken away from in about 2 seconds. I check to see where their concert is going to take place in Chicago and guess where my favorite band of all time which I’ve been waiting to see for 3 lonnnngggg years is going to play? THE HOUSE OF BLUES! I not only stare at the screen for 15 minutes because I couldn’t believe but I ultimately start crying as well.I can’t go to the concert because I’m 16 not 17, just one year less. It is so not fair.See I had the chance to go and see 30 Seconds to Mars when they came to Chicago in 2007 but the problem was I had no one to go with and I had no money, every since then all I’ve been saying is how much I want to go to their concert. I might wish for a lot of things but I seriously want this more then anything in this world.

When I told my best friend and my mom about this, my mom simply said that she’s going to try her best to get me to go and my best friend said the same but she also added how if we can’t go to this concert we should go to concert in a different state in the summer. The problem with that is, as much a I would love to go to another state the band is doing any shows in the summer and I would cost us ALOT. We would need to pay for the flight,hotel, taxi and of course the actual concert tickets.

It’s not fair, no one knows how disappointed and how much I wish I could go to their concert. But you know, that’s the story of my life. Even though I might be very disappointed and partially depressed about this, I still want to say that I love Jared Leto and 30 Seconds to Mars forever. Hopefully maybe some day I’ll get to see them
