Golden Globes

… just a short note about last night’s award…

On 17th January 2010 the Golden Globe was awarded for the 67thtime. And under the nominees this year were quite a lot really good movies or actors. Due to the time zones I couldn’t watch the Awards but I checked the winners first thing this morning and I must say I am quite happy with the outcome. There are some really awesome movies under the winners and if you haven’t seen them yet you should check them out!

Here are some of the Winners:

In 2010 the Golden Globe went to…

For Best Motion Picture / Drama – Avatar

Totally deserved I think… One of the best movies I saw through the last months… Check it out!

Best Director / Motion Picture – James Cameron / Avatar

If you have seen “Avatar” you will know that James Cameron really did a great job!

For Best Motion Picture /Comedy Or Musical – The Hangover

Also a good choice in my opinion… really funny! (Though I have to rely on some friends of mine with that… unfortunately I didn’t see it myself)

For Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture /Comdey Or Musical – Meryl Streep in Julie & Julia

Meryl Streep is one of my favourite actresses and I always loves movies with her, so congrats!

Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture /Comedy or Musical – Robert Downey in Sherlock Holmes

Sadly another movie I haven’t seen but it seems to be a good one from all I heard and read… I’m checking it out belated… you should too!

Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture – Chris Waltz in Inglourious Basterds

Not exactly my taste in movies but according to critics the award was deserved!

Best Foreign Language Film – The White Ribbon (Das Weisse Band – Einde Deutsche Kindergeschichte) (Germany)

I honestly don’t know anything to say about that movie except that I had to mention it, it’s from my home country… xD

Best Performance by an Actress In A Television Series / Comedy Or Musical – Toni Collette – United States Of Tara (SHOWTIME)

I personally would have preferred if Edie Falco got the award for her performance in “Nurse Jackie” but “United States of Tara” is also really good!
