My Abhorrence For Candid Photos

Red_Carpet_Events

Alright, so we all know that being famous makes it impossible to do anything normal without it being front page news thanks to the good ole paparazzi, but seriously people, this has to stop. I never really cared much about what the paparazzi did with their time. At first all I really heard about was stuff like “Brad and Angelina out in Central Park” or “Britney Spears seen at the supermarket.” But when I recently saw, “Peter Facinelli picks his nose” (yes, i’m serious) I couldn’t believe it. Even more repulsing then the fact that someone actually spent their time snapping photos of him picking his freakin’ nose, was how people actually received this as news. Multiple websites, whom I will not cite, actually posted these pictures with a line that said, “Peter Facinelli picks his nose and then examines the pickings.”

WHO REALLY CARES?!

Okay, so maybe I’m being a little biased. I’m a huge fan of his, so naturally I would be on his defense.

But how disgusting can you be to actually promote something like this? Whether it be just to gain traffic on your website, or because you honestly find this to be interesting, you have serious issues. And those of you who actually find stuff like this interesting need a life. Yes, I’m sounding pretty harsh, but think about it. How would you feel if someone was following you around taking pictures every time you scratched your butt or spit or something. These are things that we do EVERYDAY! Just because they have high status doesn’t make it front page news. I mean geez, if I had a whole website dedicated to my daily routines no one would be interested. So what makes them so special?

Oh….because their famous…..

So?!

Their people just like us.

People who deserve privacy every once in a while.

Of course those of you could argue, “Well if they want privacy they shouldn’t be famous.” Or “They should have known what the lifestyle they chose would bring them.”

My view to both: TOTAL CRAP!

First of all, the reason they chose their lifestyle is because they wanted to make a career out of what they love doing, and sharing it with others. Whether it be acting, singing, directing, modeling-whatever. They didn’t grow up thinking, “I want to be stalked 24/7 and have people constantly bombarding my personal space.”

So our message to the STALKERrazzi: Get a life, get a REAL job, and stop harassing others. If you’re going to take pictures at events, that’s completely fine. But stop stalking people. It’s really quite pathetic.

Our message to the fans that support these pests: STOP! We understand that your undying love for [insert celeb name here] calls for you to scrounge the internet for new photos, but please stay away from candids. They may seem harmless, but the more you flourish the circulation of these photos the higher there popularity will get and the more [insert celeb name here] will have to deal with being tormented persistently.

Sorry for the long rant, just something that really pissed me off.

Later,

Seraphina xoxo
